Awards Banquet December 6th 2016

Grace was by Chuck Anderson and his wife.
Jokes were provided by Joanette Goddard and Sandy MacDonald. Thanks.
The Fly of the Month Award was given to the following;
1. 2016 KFF Executive
2. Karen Wycherley for sewing our "Coveted Fly Tying Aprons". Thanks Karen.
3. George Wycherley & Rolf Jung - Taking photographs at our meetings and events. Rolf did not attend.
4. Steve King for undating our letter head. Award accepted by his Mom and Dad.

Fly Tying 101 November 28 2016
Submitted by lpiggin on Tue, 2016-11-29 13:57Fly tying 101 was attended by 20+ members on November 28th as Gil Schiller was tying his Chironomid Patterns. Prior to his tying Hermann Fischer gave some tips for Nor-Vice users and shared items with members.
Meeting November 15th '2016

Tracy Murdoch receive the Fly of the Month for fishouts at Thompson River July 21st and August 24th and for hosting Salmon bbq with all the trimmings in the afternoon.
Paul Lake Boat Launch – Will not be done this year.
Red Lake Fishout October 22nd
Submitted by lpiggin on Sun, 2016-10-23 22:44Fishout was attended by 11 Members including; Wayne Deptuck, Gord Bacon, Len Piggin, John Bowers, Neil Whitmore, Carey Miggins, Jim Cambell, Gene Ebata, Ryan Beccherini,Gary Giles and Lance Lehar. Well it turned out to be a great day lots of sunshine. Wayne and Lance never made it in for lunch. As it turned out parking was at a premium at the boat launch and will have to figure something out next time we hold a fishout there. Lunch was happened closer to 1230 ish rather than noon.
Bleeker lake fishout Sept 28, 2016

We had hamburgers cooked up by Gene Ebata plus desert. Eight members attended; Len Piggin, Gord Bacon, Gene Ebata, George Wycherley, Syd Krutop, Carey Miggins, Don Trethewey, Carl Ottosen.
September 20th monthly meeting
Submitted by lpiggin on Tue, 2016-09-20 21:29Excellent monthly meeting. Dinner was catered by Minos and it was Chicken Souvlaki, Greek salad, Rice Pilaf, Lemon roasted otatoes, pita & tzatziki.
Fly of the month went to Chuck Anderson, Stan Ashbee, John Bowers, Jim Campbell, Barry Corbet, Gary Giles, Carey Miggins, Kent Woodruff and George Wyscherley. Thanks for you help guys.
Lots of fishing reports and we spent time on Bleeker Lake as that is the lake we will be fishing on September 28th.
Thompson River Fishout
Submitted by lpiggin on Fri, 2016-07-22 09:44Our July 21st fishout on the Thompson River turned out to be a great success. Weather, food, company all combined to make it a fantastic day. People fishing were; Gene Ebata, Nash Wiens, Jim Campbell, Len Piggin, Harold Braun & Tracy Murdoch. Don & Joanne Trethewey and Mike Doutaz joined for the social at Tracy and Doug Murdoch's. More fish were caught this year the biggest being Harold's at 18 inches. See fishing reports for Len's report. If anyone else would like me to add something please email me your submission. Fly tying July 11th '2016
Submitted by rjung on Mon, 2016-07-11 21:53We had 16 people for fly tying. We started out with fishing reports which were detailed. Gil Schiller tied his "Green Chironomid" pattern. Checkout the Fly Patterns section for the details. John Wouters was a guest at this session and we hope to see him at future meetings and fly tying sessions.
KFF Meeting June 21st 2016
Submitted by rjung on Tue, 2016-06-21 22:18Thirty three members attended our first monthly meeting at Henry Grube Centre. Dinner was chicken cordon blu with Chapters salad, potatoes and vegatables. Fly of the Month award was given to KFF participants of Greenwing Program which is organized by Barry Corbet. Thank you Barry. The Fly of the month was given next to KFF participants who helped the KDF&GC with the Fathers Day Fishing program at Walloper lake.
