Fly tying Oct. 10th '2017

Another great fly tying session with Hermann Fischer presenting to twenty plus KFF Members and Guests. Liquid Lace damsel fly patterns and one chironomid pattern were tied. Members learned lots through the conversation with Hermann. This can be just as important as tying the actual pattern. Mike Doutaz attended and brought his fly lines, fly boxes, tapered leaders and more for Members to purchase. A good deal for everyone.

Bleeker Lake Fishout Sept 16th 2017

Nine people attended the fishout. Burgers by Gene & Len & pop by Jim. A fun day for all. The weather was good with sunshine and some blue sky. I hope to see some fishing reports from the attendees.

KFF meeting Sep. 19th '2017

At our monthly meeting we had 27 for dinner and two guests. Both guests joined Benn P & Warren J. Dinner was greek food from Dorians.

Jim Campbell received one fly of the month for his work in getting our monthly dinners arranged.

Fly of the month #2 went to Lesli Deptuck and her daughter Logan McKibbin for taking tickets at the entrance. Two flowers between a thorn?lol.

Twenty Members attended with dinner by Moon Wok.

Al Leake won 50/50 $20.00 and Fly Patches were given out to other Members.

Casting Clinics

On Friday April 21st we had our Spey Casting Clinic at the beach in front of Henry Grube Centre. Eight people attended and it was a gorgeous day for all.

On Saturday April 22nd we had Single Hand Casting instruction in the morning and Advanced in the afternoon. Between the sessions pizza and water kept the groups together.Twelve Memers attended the Advanced session in the afternoon.

Thirty nine Members/Guests attended. Entertainment was Mike Doutaz & Richard Bailey presenting on their recent trip to Belize. See the slideshow HERE.

Sinc Dalgleish presented on Paul Lake Boat Launch.

Fly of the month went to;

Mike Doutaz for writing the original draft letter to Wholesale Sports which was fine tuned by the Executive. Tracy Murdoch sent the letter out via email and has dealt with WSS Senior Management.
